Complete Onboarding

After creating your account, the onboarding flow helps deprec8 understand your tech stack so it can surface the most relevant deprecations.

Choose Your Role

Select the role that best describes how you'll use deprec8:

• Developer — tracking libraries and frameworks you use day-to-day
• Team Lead — monitoring deprecations that affect your team's projects
• Engineering Manager — oversight of deprecation risk across multiple teams
• DevOps / Platform — tracking infrastructure, cloud services, and tooling

Your role helps tailor the default categories and notification settings.

Select Categories

Browse the available technology categories and select the ones relevant to your work. Categories include:

• Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Programming languages and runtimes
• Frontend frameworks and libraries
• Backend frameworks
• Databases and data stores
• DevOps and CI/CD tools

You can change your category selections at any time from the settings page.

Personalised Dashboard

Once onboarding is complete, your dashboard will prioritise deprecations in your selected categories. You'll see:

• Upcoming deprecations sorted by urgency
• A timeline of what's changing and when
• Quick links to create projects and upload manifests
