Browse Deprecations

The Browse page is the primary interface for exploring deprecation data across all tracked technologies.

Use the search bar at the top of the page to find specific components, libraries, or services. Search matches against component names, descriptions, and associated categories.

Filters

The sidebar provides several filtering options:

Category Filter

Narrow results to specific technology categories such as "AWS", "Node.js", or "React". Multiple categories can be selected at once.

Milestone Type

Filter by the type of deprecation milestone:

  • Announced — deprecation has been officially announced
  • Creation Blocked — new resources or installations can no longer be created
  • Update Blocked — existing resources can no longer be updated
  • Fully Deprecated — the component is completely end-of-life

Date Range

Set a start and end date to focus on deprecations occurring within a specific window. This is useful for planning migration sprints.

Urgency Levels

Each deprecation is assigned an urgency level based on how soon it takes effect:

UrgencyMeaning
CriticalDeprecation within 30 days
ImportantDeprecation within 90 days
PlannedDeprecation within 6 months
FutureDeprecation more than 6 months away
