Built by Developers, for Developers

deprec8 was created by developers who know the pain and disruption of unexpected deprecations. Now we're helping teams stay ahead of breaking changes and plan migrations confidently.

Our Mission

Every day, thousands of development teams rely on libraries, SDKs, and cloud services to power their applications. When these dependencies deprecate features or end support, it can lead to production outages, security vulnerabilities, and emergency scrambles to update code.

We believe developers deserve better. That's why we built deprec8 to automatically monitor deprecations across your entire tech stack, aggregate information from dozens of sources, and deliver actionable alerts months before deadlines hit.

What Drives Us

Developer-First

We're developers building for developers. We understand your workflows, pain points, and what makes tools truly useful versus just another dashboard.

Proactive, Not Reactive

By the time you discover a deprecation organically, it's often too late. We believe in early warnings that give you time to plan, prioritize, and execute migrations properly.

Transparency

Our data sources are public, our pricing is straightforward, and our roadmap is driven by customer feedback. No hidden agendas, just a tool that does what it promises.

Reliability

When you depend on us to catch critical deprecations, we take that responsibility seriously. Our monitoring runs 24/7 with redundancy and alerting you can trust.

Our Story

Our founding team has worked across multiple startups and large enterprises, and we've all faced the same frustrating scenario: a critical dependency deprecation that was missed, leading to last-minute firefighting and rushed migrations.

When we looked for tools to prevent this from happening again, we found nothing that managed deprecations across our entire stack. There were dependency scanners for npm packages, cloud monitoring for AWS, but nothing that gave us a single view of "what's being deprecated and when."

We built deprec8 to make developers lives easier. Having suffered the pain of unexpected deprecations ourselves, we understand the importance of staying ahead of breaking changes. Our goal is to empower developers with the tools they need to manage deprecations proactively, allowing them to focus on building great software without the fear of sudden disruptions.
